Seven Deadly Sins - Envy

Steal me an angel a lifetime away
Give me a talent more than I can be
Forever do these words spill from the one
Who is drowned within his own envy.

Paint a rich picture of all that's perfection
Deep green vines twisting with malice
The one who can never be content with his lot
Shall drown in the thoughts before his loathing's caught.

Fierce is the one controlled by jealousy
Have another's blood for them to forever be flawless
Murder, crime and hate are steps on the path
And will only fuel that which is ultimately Envy's wrath.

Revenge is what steals the minds of billions
He whispers into the ears of those unspoken
Drives them to take the heart of a brother
And sings them harsh hymns of anger and greed.

To be thought of it this way, one has an awful lot
Bed, food and shelter are what few of us have got
Count your prayers, say your blessings, for after all
You can choose whether to listen to this sin's beck and call.
