Explode.

A smooth still sheet rests clear
The faintest hint of a bulge in the pane
Invisible to the naked eye
And the cracks which creep out from the centre
Towards the edge they spread and climb
The first splinter
Breaks
Flung from the centre
Followed by shards expelled outwards
Hurled by flames that engorge wooden frames
The pieces fall down, the smoke plummets up
And scorched screams finally reach your ears
An intensity so great it makes your skull
Explode.

Another little thought poem, sorry it's so morbid. Originally it was going to be about exploding glass, but as usual, my thoughts moved to 'let's make this emotional' and so naturally it turned out morbid. Anyways, hope you liked it ;D
