Day Lily

I could not find a precedent,
Or even some advice.
It seems as if no one before
Has gone this same way twice.

That leaves our options wide open;
We can do what we will.
And look, my dear, this is good news;
We’re sure in for a thrill.

Let’s go ahead and take a risk,
And celebrate our choice.
For now we have so much leeway,
For now we have a voice.
