Loyalty

There's this girl that I know
She dresses in pretty colors and loves this world
She cares about every living organism
She takes her coffee with sugar
Sits on her back porch with a book in her hand
Listens to her happy music moderately

One day, everything changed
She now dresses in dark clothing and her skin grew pale
She hates every living organism
She takes her coffee black
Still sits on her back porch with a book in her hand
Still listens to her music, but now it is loud and sad
Vacant expressions remain on her face

I do not know this girl anymore
She hurts herself
She takes everything at her fault
She does not believe in herself
She stopped loving me
But I did not do anything
Did I?

I'm just her loyal companion who should always be there
But she pushes me away
Only on her semi-good days will she love me
But even on the days that she does not
I will always love her

I am, after all, her loyal companion

This is something that I came up with on the top of my head. It's the first free verse that I've written in a long time. But I wanted to try something different for my page. (yes this is from the view of a dog, don't judge, mkay?). Comments would be lovely.
