Illuminate Your Soul

and give me life

for all that i know shines through the tree tops that contain leaves with the dream that sometime our paths will cross again
and maybe that's not now, but perhaps some day when my body is no longer red and blue and when your face clears the way of acceptance, that i am no longer the woman you knew.
Maybe when the time changes and the trees follow down, melting down the pavement, the way the ocean melts away from the shore at low tide.

To follow by your side, i would deem to be impossible,
but to see you again would be another world to discover. The unspoken words of hatred, in a glance, and shame that screams from the top of our breathless lungs, i will forgive you in some way as long as you promise to forgive me in your dreams. The mighty light within my soul aches and cries for the loom that the earth seems to crease in rejection to our time cracking apart.

My bones splinter in the thought of waking up and realization that you are gone. One day you will see her laugh until tears begin to spring; your heart will burn because the underlying thought of you not being the one to lighten up her face will be the dagger that staunches it all.
