Fireflies

Fireflies lighting up the dusk night,
lights flashing patterns intermittent,
luminescent shadows taking flight;
upon sight you become quite smitten

Shining bright as a tiny twinkling star,
flying around in a garden of flowers,
amongst trees I see them from afar
a captivating sight to stare for hours

Winged creatures beautifully created,
captive in a jar steals their warm glow,
released from a jar they were elated,
flying into the dusk night away they go
