Set Me Free

I was once caged,
always enraged.
Like a wingless bird,
always third.

Never speaking,
forever dreaming.
How better it could be,
if you set me free.

Now I grew strong,
you were always wrong.
I don't need you to set me free,
you'll burn like the flame tree.

The cage no longer exists,
I'll never meet your fists.
I'm a free soul,
holding my life's scroll.
