I'm Not a Poet

i'm not a poet
my writing is awkward
my word choice is limited
i steal from other people
without realizing it
it sounds good in my head
but i forget
that that's because i read it somewhere
i'm not a poet
i'm a reader
and i wish i could write the way i feel
but unfortunately the thoughts brew inside my head
and they sit still
like 3-day-old coffee
that tastes gross even when you re-heat it
i'm not a poet
i never will be
i can only hope that someone will relate to me.
