Dark as Day

The darkness closes in as a scream fills the halls
I sit contained in a room with door-less walls
I can feel the dark and I can hear its calls
I grip my head and scream

The air vibrates as the surroundings are still
It fills my soul as if it could kill
It shakes me to the very core
The darkness is forevermore

At night the dark claims the godless sky
It won't stop until the day we die.
Consume, command and kill
The air around me won't stand still

I feel the cold claws resting on me,
Not in light but darkness I see
The monsters chasing after me
Waiting for me to be free

I was meant for nothing but this
To walk side by side with darkness
I feel just pain, and anger without bliss
Ensnared by Death's chilling kiss

Every moment spent in this room
Is another second of darkening gloom
Another chill of a spiteful breath
I am one, accompanied by death

Don't think you can hide or run
The dark reaches to everyone
Everything around the sun
The darkness has always won

I spread my arms and embrace this hell
The dark is like a bottomless well
Never ending, and ruthless to all
I can't wait, for the world to fall.
