A Writer's Guide to Falling in Love
I have spent far too many days alone, in my head
Ignoring the world as I wrote and I read.
So the choice is now mine
To make my life fine.
Music, while lovely, is not equal to a friend
But finding one like Levi is what's important in the end.
Coffee and smiles now take up my time
On him I write poetry, constructed in rhyme.
There is terror now, there is fear
And my not-priest is not here.
The longest car ride of my life
Why'd he refuse to share his strife?
I face my music, alone once again
But it's a different alone, one that's filled with memories of a friend.
