A Fate of Death

Not all stories have a happy end,
Especially for my dear friend.
As she was on an advanture on a mountain,
She was saving a world for certain.
The future she had before,
She'll never return to at four.
She became the "What-if" of her father's memory,
But she became the Hero to others.
She will go down in history for her fate,
And of a Jackal's hate.
Fell in love with a Sailor in Baghdad,
And had to leave a dad.
Death is what she had, but she told me one thing,
She said, "Death is never the end, it's a whole new beginning."
Staring at her with tears in my eyes,
We said our last goodbyes.
She disappeared in a flash of light,
And day had turned to a rainy night.

I wrote this poem for a middle school class and it was based on a story I was writing at the time. (I don't know if I will ever put it up. It's a mix of fan fiction and original fiction. Plus, I wrote it when I was... I think 12. Maybe 13. Not sure) And I'm not even sure if it's good enough to read anyway. But this poem kind of just helped me explain exactly how I wanted it to be.
