These Words I Shall Pass On Too

Long ago when magic still existed
And none of the hearts within us were twisted
There was a girl born, hair black as night
Her skin glowed eerily in the twilight
She fell in love with a man who looked at her with scorn
And because of him her heart was torn
So she left and wandered into the mountains
And the whole time her eyes flowed like fountains
Eventually she came across a land
Where people could lovingly stand hand in hand
Where no one judged based on looks
And away every ounce of sadness in her heart it took
She treated everyone nicely
Until finally they felt her love was so kindly
That they made her their queen
And what a fabulous ruler she had been
Then when she was but twenty
She felt in love she had plenty
So she left the happy kingdom
For the one where she was born
And for many a day the people did mourn
For it was clear to them she would not return
As she reached the place where her love had been scorned
All at once her heart retorn
She found the man and forced him to look
Into her peircing gaze that of his will it took
"Why did you shun me, when all I wanted was love
For now it seems that even the heavens above
Cannot undo the sadness in my heart
I hope your happy you tore mine apart"
He wouldn't look up and meet her gaze
His eyes clouded over into a deep haze
Quickly into the mountains she fled
Onto the rocky lands that no one would tread
They say if you go up there
You can still see her dark black hair
And the words that were her last ever heard
It flows in the breeze, light as a cat purr
For then you know that it was her
I know it is true that the stories are real
For in those mountains the breeze I could feel
I heard a sound soft as a whisper
But it struck my heart as if it were a twister
And now I know that she was right
That even in the blackest of night
Everyone needs these words spoken to them
For they can replace a withered heart's stem
And the words she said I shall pass on too
And those final words were, "I Forgive You"
