Catharsis

Everyday life seemed so meaningless

And went on with such discontent.

Such was the extent of emptiness,

That made life look crooked and bent.

It continued, this solemnly sorrowful existence,

For quite some time

Until one "fateful" day you closed a hollow distance

With a smile that seemed so sublime.

Day by day, if felt as if it were a fairytale

The more we spent time together

the more the hole started to fill up

I felt different... but in a good way.

I looked for you to tell you how I felt

I would've with it swiftly dealt

but in the arms of another I

see you tears well up in my eye

YOU LED ME ON!

You all kinds of crap, your dreams, your past

hints on who you liked... everything...

I thought that, secretly, I was the one you were dreaming of...

Regress back into the dark and meaningless

Nothing more could you feel... even if you tried

All the pent up feelings in you no longer compress

You turn your back at it all...
