My Metaphors

Love is a flower full in bloom
It's beautiful colors draw you in
And it's sweet smell keeps you happy forever

Happiness is a garden
Sometimes it blooms and grows beautiful
Sometimes it withers and dies

Sadness is a chilling wind
It may disappear with time
Or it may grow into a hurricane that blows away everything

Death is a key
It locks you're soul away so that it may be used another day

Family is a blanket
It keeps you warm on the chilliest of nights
And wraps you tight when you need comfort

Life is a ballad
It tells your story so that you can live on in all who read it

Loved ones are the stars
They shine bright in life's darkest night
And show you the the way out of the darkness

Happiness is a raindrop
Small specs that glimmer and are beautiful
But don't seem to last long enough before hitting the ground

Comfort is a gentle breeze
That caresses you in the most tender of ways
Then fades away, making you long for it's loving touch again

Love is a stitch
It can repair any wound our heart takes
So that we may be happy again

Fear is a disease
It spreads through the body, growing stronger, and is something everyone must feel at one point
But can be cured with just the right medicines

Our souls are the sea
Deep, dark, and magnificent, no matter how hard you try you will never be able to swim the bottom
And know everything that lurks within it

Emotions are colors
Beautiful, magnificent, and sometimes dull
But somehow always managing to come together to create a perfect picture
