Sheltered

There are times when being sheltered isn't the worst thing in the world.
Up in her tower where no one can reach her, there's
Safety, security, control.
She chooses who to let in,
Those few who are allowed inside.
Because closeness is a contrast
Between vulnerability and bliss
And really, she'd much rather stay distanced.

From her tower, she can see the world
Without giving it the opportunity to break her.
