A goodbye shouldn't be so sad,
No hearts should be broken in the aftermath,
Eyes shouldn't be full of tears;
But they were.

There were no goodbye's,
No, "I'll see you laters"
There were tears,
There was heartbreak.

It was real.

You were gone.
Just like that, your life faded away,
Just like the happiness had vanished from a birthday girl.
You would never know how much you hurt her.

You never know how much you mean to someone until they're gone.
And since you are your life means so much more.
