My Child

Be careful, my child.
This world is full of snakes.
Not only can they be cruel,
But they're a bunch of fakes.

Hurting you is their goal.
You are their prey.
They'll most likely swallow you whole.
They don't care who they slay.

Watch your step, my child.
They linger among your feet.
They may watch you in the day;
And even when you sleep.

All they hold are bad intentions;
Deceitfulness they mastered long ago.
Don't give them any attention;
They should only be your foe.

Watch your back, my child.
They won't be afraid to attack.
Keep your guard up,
So it's hard for them to act.

Warning you is all I can do.
What you choose
Is up to you.

So choose wisely, my child;
The world is only crazy and wild.
