Happy Mother's Day

Words can't even begin to describe my mom.
Her personality is one I love being around,
her smile is contagious and I love
hearing her laughter; a truly
wonderful sound.

Moments have passed us both where it
was difficult and hard to smile,
but the melodic sound of her caring words
that come from her heart was
what I needed to go the extra mile.

She's beyond amazing; equipped with a kind
soul, heart and a kick of sarcasm;
as sharp as a poisonous dart.
I'm floored and inspired enough to push
myself far in life to have a decent start.

My mom has made up for the times
she couldn't be by my side;
but those days are all in the past and
now I smile when my mom is by my side;
full of happiness and smiling with pride.

She has taught me so much and has
went through all sorts of pain and
hell for me,
that it honestly surprised me when she
stayed by my side through the difficult
times so it wouldn't be just "me"
facing them alone;
it was "we".

I can't thank her enough for what
she's been through to give me a better
life than I had before.
But the beginning of what I can do for
her is say that I love you and I'll
always be there for you too.
