Why Would I Wear Black?

Why would I wear black?
She hated the color on me
Always said I should be in bright girly things
I never listened.
But on the day when the whole world says
"You should be in black"
I'll be in the brightest fucking pink I can fine.

Why would I wear black?
It's a safe color, black
It makes you invisible.
Maybe that's why it never scared me...

Why would I wear black?
I don't want her to look down
From whatever afterlife she now residesin
And think
'Oh she's wearing black'
I don't want her to see my make-up ruined
As I stand in the grass
Uttering a broken goodbye

Why would I wear black?
I want her to smile and laugh
As she sees what pink fluffy thing
I tucked myself into for her

Black isn't an empty color
But bright ones are...
So I'll be standing there
Forcing myself not to cry
In a color that matches how I feel inside..
