When you found me,
I was broken, battered, and bruised.
I was abandoned, lost, and utterly confused.

But you wiped away my falling tears,
And promised me,
You would help me leave behind the painful years.

You were a gleaming ray,
That began to fade my world,
From neverending black to gray.

I begged don't ever leave me,
I don't want to fall apart.

Smiling you look down and said...
Silly girl, how could I?
