The Stars

How can this happen?
Time has passed me by.
While I'm merely tolerating what I've got,
You're there suffering for no reason.

I've forsaken you.
But you have remembered me.
Everyday I cry a thousand tears,
While you console me.
But you cry too,
And I don't seem to care.

I've done no sin,
But I've sinned all the same.
I hope you see the stars in my eyes,
And next time, I'll see yours.

So I'll remember your pleas, tears, and cries,
And I know you wont forget mine.
