The Empty Girl.

She lies awake amongst the sheets.
Dares to dream but can not sleep.
Her eyes are glazed, lips are dry.
Hands are weak and slow and tired.

The girl feels cold, although she's warm.
Her body and her mind seem torn.
She begins to feel confused,
The girl is simply lacking clue.

And yet she stares into the dark.
Her thoughts seem to disembark.
The girl seems to be asleep.
But her open eyes begin to weep.

She has not reason for these tears.
They lack accompany of fear.
Perhaps she's just in a mood.
These gloomy thoughts they do intrude.

Her head feels heavy, lacking peace.
She has no faith which she believes.
All has gone, and all is lost.
What lays left is heavy cost.
