A Poem for the Man I Sleep With Every Night

Where are you?
It's late at night and I'm here all alone.
It's been a while since I've had a night without you.
I hate not feeling your presence.
I don't like knowing I could wake in the morning to not find you there.
Where could you be at this time of night?
I miss having you close to me.
I miss having you cuddle with me and fall asleep right beside me.
I miss feeling you,
your soft, fluffy fur pressed up against me.
I miss hearing you,
The soft and gentle hum of your pur.
I miss your sweet and tender kisses,
Your rough tongue against my cheek.
It's late at night,
Or rather early in the morning,
And I'm all alone.
So I write this poem for the man I sleep with every night,
I write this poem for my cat.
