Mirror

What do you do when you find you mirror? The person the same, but oposite you? Do you live your life like they’re not there? Do you watch them from afar; noting what they do without interaction? Do you approach for understanding?

She approaches, drawing nearer, but he just backs away. Not knowing who he is and unable to look at his reflection, he turns away. Every step she takes means two away by him.

She waits for his return, still. With moments passing by like memories frozen in a cold winter’s day. Then, they all melt away; the water running slow then fast. Joyful puddles forming near her feet.

She watches as he returns - the mirror reforming faster then before. Now they live in unison. Two seem to work as one. They never look over to the other side, the place the other resides.

Instead, they work in tangent. Neither looks for what they know is there. Everyone has a mirror somewhere. So if you care, approach! Someone might just be there - or don’t you dare?
