Patience (In 3 Parts)

She stands alone, broken and ashamed.
They all know what she did, but they don't know her pain.
She cries at night, till the moon is gone.
She accepts her punishment for all she's done wrong.
She ruined her life, burned it to ash.
The two built their lives praying that it would last.

He sleeps alone, confused and afraid.
He loves her, he hates her: the girl drenched in shame.
He tried to replace her, find someone new.
Sex, alcohol, drugs; over time the pain just grew.
He missed the girl; her bright hazel eyes.
Now they both lay in bed at night and cry, cry, cry.

They wanted to speak, reach out their hearts.
But they both feared a relapse and second tearing apart.
So they held their tongues, waiting for word.
The time spent apart made their minds all a blur.
But the girl she still wonders, of the boy with blue eyes.
And this boy tends to question where his heart truly lies.
