Forgotten

I can remember it
Some faint, but they are there
Years long gone
Timeworn memories we shared
That delicate first touch
The first time our eyes united
Blossomed, an eternal grin
Sparks were ignited
All clearer than the days
But where are all the rest?
Too many black holes
There must be more I possess
Searching and searching
No, that can't be my summation
There's so much I'm missing
There must be some explanation
My thoughts keep jumbling
Tricks are being played
Fine you got me
You can stop this charade
I know what I remember
I know that I was there
Quit playing your sick game
Stop acting like you don't care
That first day was real
Not my sick delusion
Impossible.. feasible
What if I created these illusions
A touch that's so real
Only an imagination
To simply envision those eyes
Breathtaking creation
My fictional conception
Two words I heard you say
Welcome to the world
Happy Birthday
