It's Your Body

You've never let anyone undress you with the lights on.
You fear it'll shatter the illusion that you are what they want.
That with the lights up they will see all of the bits of you that you've been hiding all along, that you obnoxiously pretend don't exist.
You do not realise that once sight is taken away from someone their other senses are heightened.

They can feel every inch of you that you never wanted them to know was there.
So you learn to arch your back, making the valleys of the ribs more prominent.
You learn to angle your hips just right so they can feel the sharp edges of your hips.
You learn to distract them with your own hands so they can't concentrate on learning the unwanted curves of your body.

You are not willing to give as much as you get, as much as you take. But you need to know that what you're willingly giving is going to be enough for someone.
