Stars Fall Too
Don’t think the stars are perfect
That they don't lie or sin
You feel the warmth that they reflect
But you can't see within
Though bright the lights of giants seem
There once were darker days
When might and right proved but a dream
The heavens held no rays
The sun that gives each life its heat
Was once a lonely spark
It was not always so complete
Or unbound by the dark
The deeds of small and great akin
Are equal in their love
For all must fight the dark within
And all must turn above
So if you find you've lost your way
A heart not always true
Remember, as we poets say
The stars have fallen too
That they don't lie or sin
You feel the warmth that they reflect
But you can't see within
Though bright the lights of giants seem
There once were darker days
When might and right proved but a dream
The heavens held no rays
The sun that gives each life its heat
Was once a lonely spark
It was not always so complete
Or unbound by the dark
The deeds of small and great akin
Are equal in their love
For all must fight the dark within
And all must turn above
So if you find you've lost your way
A heart not always true
Remember, as we poets say
The stars have fallen too

Another older one, but still one of my favorites.
