This or That?

This or That?, a game me and my friend play
Where player one gives two objects or people
That player two must choose between

"Jack or Alex?" she asks me
I give her a homicidal look
She just laughs

"Just pick," she says, and I sigh with defeat
But all I can think is, "Why? Why me?"
I'll be dead before I will ever be able to answer this

"Come on," she pries, her voice sounding impatient
I mutter, "I hate you,"
And her reply of, "No you don't," tells me she caught it

I roll my eyes and continue to think,
How do I pick between these idiots?
Fuck. My. Life.

After a while, I finally reply
"Jalex," I say, and she laughs,
Though she does not take it

"OTPs don't count, you dope," she says,
And I groan and lay back
"You can only choose one in This or That."
