We are sparks from a fire that was ignited so long ago that no human now has seen it.
But we’ve all felt it deep within our souls.
And some of us are better at keeping our embers burning.
There are those like you and me who were born near the ocean with salt water in our lungs and we’ve struggled to keep the fiery warmth aglow in our bones.
So when i look up at the stars in the sky, when I take your hand and tell you not to be scared, it’s because I’m taking us home.
