Routine
wake up!
slither out of the cushioned pit of wallow
traipse to the kitchen, breaking fast, swallow
the burned toast, caffeine to cease the yawning
wash the sins, dress the sinner, this is the morning
saunter down the hill, to the five day prison
'for your generation its easy!' well, it isnt
a million and one problems, nevermind this hell
ring ring ring! from the road, i hear the bell
late. again. such a baffling suprise!
just sit down, shut up, and revise
oh great, ticket for the daily show, detention
who cares, ill probably skip it, whats first lesson?
break comes quick, straight to the segragation
nerdy, sporty, higher tier or foundation
the pointless debates, the abitrary chatter
'what are you on about?' does it really matter?
the day draws nigh, bounced from pillar to post
the streets strirring like a town full of ghosts
for all the unpaid attention i wish i could atone
alas, motivation is slight when you feel alone
the clock is almost full; i feel most hollow
gazing through the glass, i can see apollo
has laid to rest. caffeine to cease the yawning
the self pity lapses, the day is dawning
