Monster

It's cold, and the world is evil.
You've got monsters to fight, to make everything right,
And the wreckage, what a sight.

You close your eyes, battling the dark inside,
Past is haunting, the pain is daunting,
Your new life, you're flaunting.

Thoughts in your head, you want them all dead,
You want the monster inside to die - you want it gone now, and not even say goodbye.

Swallowing the past, you can't take the stress,
So you hold your head high and not worry about the rest.

One pill, two pill, your scared of them. Just close your eyes and pray, and it'll be the end of them.

Monsters aren't scary and hairy, they don't hide in your closet or under your bed,
Monsters are the bad thoughts inside of your own head.
