Wild at Heart

My heart is wild and freely it roams
from the grasslands and to the plains
in search of a place to call my home
it is pursued and chased, still it reins

Barren and lonely in a desolate state
yearning for another to trust and love
for someone to understand and relate
thereof, love that’s sent from up above

My heart longs to fill this empty space
in search of true love to come my way
moving with haste I will gladly embrace
the love of a lifetime, I will never stray

My hearts spirit is wild and untamed
I continue on to search and have faith
for that special love, an eternal flame
I know that soon I will find it someday

Until then, content I remain estranged
anticipation has caused me to change
for true love, my soul mate I will await
