Testimony for Promiscuity

Blots of color
blossom under tight collars
cherry colored
matching cheeks.

Tightened jaw bone,
smiling smartly, smugly

Close proximity betrays:
A heart, thrown against a ribcage.
A heat, humid, nuclear, humming.
A march, fingertips across leaden tendons.

For this I willfully bend.

I found this in a journal I was looking through. I only vaguely remember writing it, and I must have been in some sort of mood when I wrote it, because poetry from me is rare.
