No where to go

The screams pierce into the night,
the glass breaking shatters hearts.
This place is supposed to be home,
but she has no where to go.
She walked out that night,
only to find that she had no where.
She tried and tried to get away,
but she always ended back at the beginning.
There was one place left to go,
but she pondered it in her mind.
As much as she wanted to go,
she knew what lain behind that door.
Walking up to that house,
she wondered what he would say.
Three times softly is how she knocked,
and she heard the loud barking of the dogs.
He quieted them and she smiled at his voice,
the door slowly opened and his brown eyes met hers.
He gave her a questionable look,
either concern or worry.
He showed her through the door and back to his room,
as they talked for hours on end.
The sun was slowly rising and they still talked,
she was sure she was loved.
No one would care for her,
no one would love her.
Except for him,
eighteen years young.
Eyes of chocolate,
and a smile of heaven.
She thought she had no where to go,
but she had everything to see.
