Sunrise Sunset

As the sun rises to display the luminous light
we are kissed by the hot and wonderful day
at sunset we welcome the dark and lovely night
when the sun appears the sight is a vast array

Of vivid colors displayed yellow, orange and red
spectacular vibrantly alive and alluringly bright
casting silhouette shadows on the deep blue sea
a stunning sight in the desserts and tropics to see

I sat on the grass under a tree watching the skies
beautiful horizons that captivates the day and night
hearing birds singing and chirping upward they fly
my heart is filled with peace and a joyful delight

At the sight of sunset over the beauty magnificent bay
various colors of orange and gold sets the sky ablaze
as dusk ushers in the stars and moonlights bright rays
amazed at the horizons haze, I’m content to sit and gaze
