Just Like You

And as it turns out, I'm just like you,

Pacing these roads without a clue.

I tell myself to let thoughts of you go,

Though when I try to numb you out, is when my heart let's it show.

That I'm not as strong as I thought I'd grown,

Still not over you leaving me all alone.

Never thought I was still so fragile,

Or that my own mother could cause such a hassle.

I truly did try to forgive and forget,

But the next round was another game of Russian roulette.
