Bliss

Sunshine kisses the skin of my face,

My every pore inviting it deeper into my soul.

Fearing that it'll be the last time I encounter such warmth,

The last chance I'll linger in such a blissful place.

A moment of quiet that screams so loud of loneliness,

A time to scrutinize my every thought.

The invigorating breeze dances upon my skin,

Begging me to follow in its tranquil steps.

It whispers promises of well-being,

A chance to savor my every desire.

Does oneself remain in such contentment,

Or chance such loss in return for supplementary fulfillment?
