Evening Breeze

I sit alone watching the sunset
with the evening breeze blowing
hoping you would blow my way
for what seems like the last time

Warm and gentle is the breeze
that brings comfort to my soul
in adornment softly it caresses
my cheeks, it clears my mind of

All unwanted thoughts, I ‘m filled
with peace and ease, it brings
warmth to my heart, it fills my
stomach with butterflies, I sense

You in the warmth of the evening
breeze, as the evening breeze kisses
my lips, I’m joyful with anticipation
for the tomorrow’s evening breeze
