Fervent Pleas

Please believe in our faith
We’ll be good for the night
Disappear in plain sight
And we’ll overlook hate

Just believe in the life
Long gone and lost in hills
That now roams out so free
And held once in our hands

We’ll be good from now on
We know how to behave
It has melted to glace
What was once solid gold

Are our lives at least worth
The sacrifice of men?
‘Cause I don’t believe pain
Is more useful than hope

At your mercy we are
At your will, we have been
Showing concealed beliefs
With deep bows, bending down

We rely in the sound
Of the loud, crashing waves
Through an ocean, we wade
In vain hopes to find ground

But we’ll never allow
Your sick need to restrain
We drip blood, lick the blade
That once had us knelt down
