Little Miss Daydream

Hello little miss daydream,
Do you see what I see,
Feel the grass beneath your feet,
Notice the cold air that I breathe,

Do you think I care your hair is a mess,
I only fight the urge to brush it from your brow,
To reveal those eyes of oceans and perfectness,
Don't break these walls for I can not follow,

I watch your lips like an owl in the night,
A heart of stone is all that forms,
You take it away like the wind takes a kite,
Yet that still small voice does nothing but warn,

So it goes yet again your smile,
Little miss daydream stay how you are,
In between knowing and denial,
Keep your steps but not all too far
