Yet You Stay
I take a deep breath and look around
All that I have built has fallen
The only place that welcomes me
The only place I call home
Is a dark hole of depression
That I can not escape
I placed my heart in many things
Passing out keys to each who ask
But not allowing the healers in
So now, here I sit
A shell of worthlessness
They say I am strong, but I am weak
A glass puzzle with no matching pieces
Your arms are what holds me together
Although I beg you to let me go
One day you will not be strong enough
One day I will disappoint you too
One day I'll be nothing
Yet you stay
Despite every warning
Thank you
All that I have built has fallen
The only place that welcomes me
The only place I call home
Is a dark hole of depression
That I can not escape
I placed my heart in many things
Passing out keys to each who ask
But not allowing the healers in
So now, here I sit
A shell of worthlessness
They say I am strong, but I am weak
A glass puzzle with no matching pieces
Your arms are what holds me together
Although I beg you to let me go
One day you will not be strong enough
One day I will disappoint you too
One day I'll be nothing
Yet you stay
Despite every warning
Thank you
