Waking to a Dream

They all see a madman; drifting wildly
Never mature, yet not foolish
Reckless, careless, a lost case, is what they see
Someone who needs a push in the right direction

They see someone walking with the sun
Talking to the moon
Dancing with the wind
Sleeping with the clouds
Singing with the stars
Smiling with the sky
Crying with the trees
Exploring with nature's creatures
Laughing with the water
Hugging the grass

They see a dreamer,
And I think they're afraid.
I'm not judging
For I believe
That they just merely woke up too soon

Because, someday,
When I wake up,
I'm going to show my dreams,
If we cannot escape reality,
Might as well make it last
