The Sea
Life was a sea,
Vast and lonely,
The 16th of May,
The sea of loneliness met a new,
A sea of happiness grew,
A new sea, warm and majestic,
As you are,
The waves crash on the beach,
Your pleasant voice speaks,
With every crash the sun shines brighter,
The ocean a striking blue,
Yet not as beautiful as you,
Sailing the sea for one month,
Let the journey never end

Okay- so it's almost the one month anniversary with my boyfriend, and I really want to do something special. We don't live near each other, so I decided I'd write him a poem. It's been a while since I've written a poem (and I was never a remarkable poet), and this is the first draft, so it's pretty rough. I'd really appreciate any advice on how to improve it, because he deserves the best<3 Thank you so much!
