Lights

My life in the city is hectic and fast
It’s bright and confusing because of the lights
From beautiful rivers to oceans of streets
To mazes of buildings, from lulling of birds

Starlights are wide-spread in millions of skies
They shine so much brighter because of the dark
The crickets are blaring, no match to loud honks
Despite all the blasting, you can hear my song

Forever in visions of faraway lands
It’s where lies my home and my heat and my heart
In prisons of mornings filled with static noise
Or lost in the forest, the sound of my voice
