Child Lost to Suicide

Buried deep beneath
where she'll slowly decay.
She's taken her final breath
As night turns to day.
Written on her grave
"If only we had listened."
Her parents stand above her
wishing she was saved.
As the silence set in
their eyes start to glisten.
Their daughter:
she is nowhere to be found.
But as they take a final look
they know she's underground.
All the happiness gone
from the life she took.
Sorrow breeds depression;
depression breeds hate.
Hell then comes knocking
to bring her fate.
Locking the portal forever this day.
