Poem 2
We get up and lay where we slept
Banging our head on the headboard but the jobs gotta be kept
Walk down the street look at the hope their eyes, those who we meet
Slip into the moment
But, don’t forget about the client!
Shit its school and you ain’t got that assignment
Hold your head in your hands and sigh
But jump back up, suck it up and live like your gonna die
In a world of love and hate
The lonely man is dead
The dead only dream about what they could have said
What would corpses do for a chance, just a date?
Just wait, doesn’t matter everything will be straight
And you’ll feel better after you take your med
Go out, call a friend and the high won’t descend
Go to a club and grind up against a girl, see if you can drink enough to get a new friend
Only when its Monday is it the end
Break the rules and remember it’s in your hands
Chose to ignore those comments
Because it just shifts the sands
