Here Today, Gone Tomorrow

A long night in the storm,
Walking the distance of distractions that may come.
A figure by my side,
Trying to seek my attention but my eyes are blind.
I see white lights in every direction.
Heart pounding, mind over thinking,
I feel the vibration of my body breathing heavily.
Whiplash as cars drive by,
I begin to fade colors before my eyes.
It's dark, no feeling.
There was nothing but time.
Here today, gone tomorrow.
