Why Do I Attempt to Write?

This could be a weird ramblings from a stranger, or I could introduce myself, my name is Matthew Charles Collins, I'm 24 now, now to the point, why attempt to write? It's not to be popular, in any way, its deeper, when I write, edit the piece, then let a friend read it, they make it worthwhile saying it's beautiful, or when they open up and tell me they've went through something similar, and I never put thought into this, but we both actually helped each other, it strengthens the bond. My childhood is one black blur, I don't remember anything, who I was, what happened anything, then I started writing at age 13, which wasn't good, at all, but it helped me remember things like first heart break, losing family, I put more than words on paper, I actually tell a story, concealed from readers eyes. Writing in any form is a form of expression, like me I suck at expressing myself. I can't just say I'm sad, I have to write in a deeper context. Thanks for all my friends to encourage me, and I hope everyone on here never quits, I love reading people's stories, poems everything they do.
