You Think You Know

See that boy playing in the park?
That girl playing basketball even though she is short?
They all have something hidden deep underneath.
Something that makes them leave their answer lingering when they speak.

The boy over there has cuts on his arms.
And he cries while he is in self harm.
The girl has a child. Her child is of age three.
Because she was raped and has horrid scars all over her body.

Everyone thinks the parents would know.
When really their grandchild remains unknown.
Everyone thinks the parents would see.
It is quite horrifying, wouldn't you agree?

That woman is daddy's little girl.
He doesn't believe in sex of premarital.
That guy is momma's little boy.
He was picked on, harassed, like a little doll toy.

When you look at these situations,
You think you could understand their frustration.
You go through this. You and your friends are unlike.
And then you wonder what your children will be like.
